Start with the primary document
Tariff explanations should identify the issuing body, schedule, date, category and applicable notes. Provider workflows should link to the provider’s own public service. Competitor articles can suggest a question worth answering, but are not authority for a rate, helpline or legal requirement.
Where a PDF’s extracted text conflicts with its rendered table, the document image must be checked. A rate without its eligibility and slab notes is incomplete. A dated calculation is labelled as such rather than silently presented as a live monthly payable amount.
Tools must show their limits
A format check cannot confirm an account. A consumption-history check cannot confer protected status. A base-charge estimate does not contain every tax or monthly adjustment. These distinctions belong beside the tool, not only in a legal footer.
Worked examples use fictional inputs and must be labelled. We do not publish real reference numbers or bill documents as sample content. Diagrams explain fields and flows; they are not official bills or payment instructions.
Human responsibility and assisted drafting
Software and AI tools may assist with drafting, layout and calculations. Responsibility for publication and corrections remains with the site owner. Source checks and manual review are required before new or substantially changed guidance is published; generated prose is not itself evidence.
The website does not assign invented expert credentials, reviewer names or a “reviewed today” badge. A named maintainer is accountable for the website; that label does not imply specialist certification.
Report a specific correction

- Allow verificationThe maintainer can compare the evidence, correct the explanation and update affected tools. A response or completion time is not guaranteed.
Use the website contact page for editorial issues. Send billing disputes, emergencies and private account documents to the responsible utility instead.
Advertising and independence
If advertising is enabled, it must be distinguishable from the bill tool, official links and editorial guidance. Payment or ad performance must not determine a stated tariff fact. The website does not offer approval guarantees or treat the presence of an advertisement as an endorsement by a utility.
