Keep the leading zeros. Spaces and dashes are okay.

Open SEPCO directly ↗

You finish on the official website. We check the number’s format, try to copy it, and open the provider portal. Paste or re-enter it there. We do not retrieve or issue bills.

Independent of the utility. Your bill number is processed in this browser; our helper does not send it to our server.

A bill and a receipt answer different questions

Keep the bill, payment receipt and complaint number as three separate records. A bank debit notification alone does not explain whether the utility payment completed.

Check what the document actually proves

A SEPCO duplicate bill tells you what the provider has billed for the period shown. A bank or wallet receipt records a payment transaction. Do not assume that opening or downloading the bill means it has been paid.

Keep these records linked, but distinct
DocumentUse it to check
Issued SEPCO billAccount identity, billing month, charges and due date.
Payment receiptBiller, account identifier, paid amount, transaction reference and status.
Complaint recordThe issue reported, date, case number and follow-up.

Save documents in a private folder with the billing month. Do not include your complete reference number in a publicly shared file name or an online help request.

Before you confirm a payment

  1. Open the correct SEPCO accountMatch the reference, customer/service details and bill month on PITC. If the bill names HESCO, use its separate route.
  2. Check the biller in your payment appUse the supported SEPCO bill-payment entry and the identifier it requests. Do not add an invented prefix or use a personal transfer as a bill payment.
  3. Read the confirmation screenCompare the fetched account and payable amount before authorising payment in the official banking or wallet app.
  4. Keep the transaction referenceSave the completed status and receipt. PakistanBillCheck does not take money or receive payment confirmation from your bank.

A QR code is not automatically a payment code. Read its surrounding label and verify the destination; the QR guide explains the difference between information and payment links.

If a debit happened but the bill still looks unpaid

First check whether the payment service marks the transaction successful, pending, failed or reversed. Then compare the exact account identifier and bill month. Avoid repeated payments merely to see whether the website updates.

Ask the payment service and SEPCO to investigate using the transaction reference. Keep a record of the response and the complaint number. Use the payment service’s transaction record to establish what happened; a debit alert is only one part of that record.

A later copy can show a different balance

Read the issue date, reading period and due date on each copy. New charges, a correction or an earlier outstanding amount can change the payable balance. When asking about a difference, name both periods and the exact changed line instead of comparing only the final totals.

SEPCO support and complaints

For a SEPCO reading, balance or supply issue, use PITC’s electricity complaint portal or the complaint contact printed on your current bill. Save the case number so you can follow up on the same issue.

For an error in this guide, contact PakistanBillCheck with the page link and the sentence or broken link. Leave out your private account details.

Questions you may have

Do you accept SEPCO payments?

No. This is an independent guide and portal helper. Pay only through a provider-supported bank, wallet or collection channel.

Should I pay again if a balance is still visible?

Check transaction status and request reconciliation first. A second payment can create another transaction without explaining the first one.

What number should I retain after a complaint?

Keep the official complaint ID as well as the bank transaction reference. They belong to different systems and are useful together.
