Keep the leading zeros. Spaces and dashes are okay.

Open GEPCO directly ↗

You finish on the official website. We check the number’s format, try to copy it, and open the provider portal. Paste or re-enter it there. We do not retrieve or issue bills.

Independent of the utility. Your bill number is processed in this browser; our helper does not send it to our server.

Match the property to the connection

Moving into a property? Match the address and meter number as well as the account name. Keep the handover reading and any earlier payment receipts together.

A familiar name does not identify every meter

A GEPCO bill can still carry a previous owner’s name. Before using that copy for a payment or tenancy record, compare the service address, reference number and meter serial number with the property’s records. If several portions share a building, identify which connection serves yours.

Do not experiment with a neighbour’s account number to see which result looks right. Ask the owner or the utility for the identifier assigned to your connection. A bill is not proof of property ownership, and downloading it does not transfer the electricity account.

A practical electricity handover checklist

  • Save the latest GEPCO bill with its full billing month and due date.
  • Record the meter reading and date at handover; keep an agreed record with the other party.
  • Separate current charges from any earlier balance and retain relevant payment receipts.
  • Check whether the account name, approved load or tariff needs an official update.
  • Keep account documents private when sharing tenancy or purchase paperwork.

This checklist helps organise a handover; it does not decide who is legally responsible for an earlier debt. Resolve that point with the parties and the provider using the account records.

Downloading and changing the account are separate tasks

The official PITC GEPCO page is a bill-lookup service. A change of name is handled through the provider’s service procedure, including the documents applicable to the change. The name-change guide distinguishes a purchased property, inherited property and a tenancy request without assuming that the same documents fit every case.

If using ENC, select the service and provider actually offered on the portal. Keep the tracking number from that application; the electricity reference number and application tracking number serve different purposes.

If a previous payment still appears as a balance

  1. Check the account on the receiptCompare the reference and billing period with the GEPCO bill. A successful transaction for another meter will not clear this balance.
  2. Check the transaction statusUse the bank or wallet’s own receipt/status view. A debit notification alone does not explain whether a payment completed, failed or reversed.
  3. Ask for reconciliationShare the receipt through the official payment provider or GEPCO complaint route. Keep both transaction and complaint IDs; avoid paying twice merely to test the system.

GEPCO support and complaints

For a GEPCO reading, balance or supply issue, use PITC’s electricity complaint portal or the complaint contact printed on your current bill. Save the case number so you can follow up on the same issue.

For an error in this guide, contact PakistanBillCheck with the page link and the sentence or broken link. Leave out your private account details.

Questions you may have

Can I change a GEPCO customer name on this page?

No. Use the provider’s account-change process. This page only helps you open its bill portal.

Should I send a complete bill through the contact form?

No. For a broken link or a content correction, a bill number is unnecessary. Send account documents only through the utility’s appropriate official channel.

Does the duplicate bill prove ownership of the house?

No. It describes an electricity account and billing information; property ownership must be established through the relevant records.
